Privacy Policy

D2R: Sanctuary Takeover is a fan project. You can play without an account. This page covers what is stored if you sign in, which you only need for the leaderboards and to keep your progress in your account.
What we store
- Your login: your email address and an account ID. If you sign in with Google or Discord, they confirm who you are and share your basic profile details, such as your email and name, with our login service.
- Your display name: the name you choose for the leaderboards.
- Your stage clears: zone, difficulty, character, time, kills, wave, level, game version and date.
- Your game progress: a copy of your save, such as your items, Ears and cleared zones. Only you can read it through the game.
What is public
Your display name and stage clears appear on the leaderboards, in the game and on this site. Your email address is not shown. Choose a display name that doesn't identify you if you'd rather stay anonymous.
How we use it
Only to sign you in, run the leaderboards and remove cheated scores. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who handles it
- Supabase hosts the login system and database.
- Google and Discord handle sign-in if you choose them.
- Google Fonts supplies this site's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
- Bluehost hosts this website.
- Patreon, PayPal and Venmo handle any donations under their own privacy policies. We don't connect donations to game accounts.
On your computer
The game saves a sign-in token on your PC so you stay signed in, and keeps your progress in a save file there. Signing out removes the token. This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your account
In the game, open Leaderboards and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your login, display name, scores and the copy of your save in your account. Your save on your own PC stays. For other questions, message us through our Patreon page.
Children
Accounts aren't for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above.
